Our Program
"We can teach your child to read."
Overview
We’re more than your average daycare or preschool. We offer time tested curriculum and teaching techniques in addition to our normal arts and crafts!
Background
Our lead teacher at Storybook Cottage is Bernice Roll. For almost 20 years, Bernice Roll ran her own reading specialty center in Phoenix, Arizona. Her services were known all over the city for their ability to bring elementary and middle school students who knew little or no English to performing at grade level in two years or less. Now Bernice Roll brings her program to you!
Using a unique blend of the best practices in language education which focus heavily on phonics, Storybook Cottage will bring Ms. Roll’s years of expertise to your children as young as two years old.
Your children will love learning with our caring and experienced staff! You’ll feel good about your child spending time in our newly remodeled facilities.
Infants
We are especially serious with infants. These days it’s very difficult to find affordable and high quality infant care in East Tucson. We fill that need.
Most providers in Arizona always average 5-1 infant to adult ratio. Our average is typically 4-1 (although at times it does go to 5-1). Additionally, our infant area is filled with interesting, age-appropriate toys!
Toddlers & threes-Fives
Our toddler and three-five programs are top-notch. In addition to the normal outdoor and arts and crafts activities you would expect, we also teach the children to read, write, and do basic math! To do this, we use our time-tested curriculum and teaching techniques along with the latest in iPad app-based technologies!
Summer school & bEFORE/aFTER SCHOOL CARE
Our Summer School and Before/After School programs are fun and enriching! Unlike other daycares, students at Storybook Cottage have the resources they need (trained teachers, reference books) to thrive academically.
